Analysis and Reporting

Detailed Description | Features Comparison | EFORd
GADS NxL Analysis & Reporting software enables you to:
- Calculate the same generating unit performance measures used by NYISO, ISO New England, and PJM Interconnection—such as EFORd used in UCAP/ICAP calculations—in addition to the standard statistics developed by NERC and IEEE—such as Availability Factor (AF), Equivalent Availability Factor (EAF), Forced Outage Rate (FOR), and Equivalent Forced Outage Rate (EFOR).
- Take advantage of calculation methodologies and time intervals—such as hourly, daily, weekly, and user-defined periods—not available in other GADS reporting software.
- Eliminate the stress and increase productivity of your GADS reporters with easy-to-use GADS software.
- Quickly and easily provide ad hoc and custom reports that plant and corporate management and the engineering department may need to assess each generating unit's performance and reliability. These custom reports may be developed in-house using Microsoft® Excel or Business Objects' Crystal Reports Versions 8.5 and above.
- Leverage your existing in-house data and network infrastructure by taking advantage of your own Oracle or Microsoft database systems, which can result in increased productivity, lower costs for licenses already purchased from Oracle or Microsoft, and greater security of sensitive corporate data.
- Maintain your software investment for assessing generating unit reliability and performance when you upgrade your computers' operating systems to Windows 98SE, NT, 2000, or XP—or 64-bit Windows.
- Avoid costly charge-backs required to have your own IT department create, maintain, or update an in-house GADS data analysis system.
- Reduce travel, overtime, and other "out of the office" costs of your IT support team by eliminating the need to travel to each plant site for GADS reporting and analysis software support—all of the data and software may be installed in one central location.
GADS NxL is 32-bit/64-bit compliant and guaranteed to run on any device running Windows 98SE and above. For optimal viewing, resolution should be 800 x 600 or higher.
Both a Windows interface for standalone and LAN/WAN installations (direct connection to a network drive) and a Web-enabled interface for intranet and Internet installations are included with the GADS NxL standard package. Any combination of these may be installed at the same time.
GADS NxL’s Web-enabled interface allows you to securely access and view reports on the performance of your generating units from any Web-enabled device anywhere in the world using a simple browser due to GADS NxL’s secure sockets layer (SSL) technology. The use of Java client software or the Java Virtual Machine is not required with GADS NxL.
The calculated results (e.g., hours, factors, and rates) and the GADS data used to calculate those results are stored in Oracle 8i/9i, Microsoft Access, or Microsoft SQL Server 7/2000—your choice.
GADS NxL utilizes the industry-standard database management systems of Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server 7/2000, and Oracle 8i/9i, enabling ease of creation of either company standard or on-the-spot ad hoc reports. GADS NxL database tables may be easily imported or exported into Microsoft Excel.
All standard installations of GADS NxL include full access security.
Most importantly, all of the above features are included in GADS NxL at no additional charge.
