Product Pricing

Based on extensive customer input, we have introduced a corporate licensing model for both the GADS NxL Data Entry software and the Analysis & Reporting software. The licensing model assumes that most, if not all, clients will obtain a single master copy of the software, install the application on servers in a single central location, and configure the application to permit both concurrent user LAN/WAN and Internet/intranet access for all of the plant and headquarters staffs.

This new corporate licensing model was designed to take advantage of the unlimited access to the data and reports that are available with the LAN/WAN and Internet/intranet configurations. Product licenses are required by existing and prospective clients. However, we recognized a need to maintain a pricing structure that still allowed for individual plant sites or a headquarters group to purchase and install the desktop version, as well.

Our model allows for an unlimited number of users accessing the applications, regardless of location. It also allows for an unlimited number of copies installed at locations that are owned or operated by the client.

Initial Purchase and License Upgrades

The actual price is based on a formula that takes into account the number of generating units for which you are either collecting or reporting GADS data.  When making your initial purchase, you will need to specify this number to determine the "maximum" number of licensed generating units that may be tracked for each software installation. Additional licensed units may be added at any time by upgrading the license for a nominal fee.

Take, for example, the scenario where you currently have 83 generating units in your fleet for which you will collect and report GADS performance data when you make the initial purchase in September. You also know that during the next 12 months, your company will bring 17 additional units on-line, for which you will report data, and you will retire 5 of the existing 83 generating units. You can initially purchase the software licenses for 83 generating units, and purchase additional licenses as the new units come on-line. As you purchase additional licenses, we simply send a new software license "key" that resets the “maximum” number of generating units that the software will display.

Continuing with this example, at the end of the next 12 months you will only need to have a total of 95 generating unit licenses (i.e., 83 + 17 - 5 = 95). The licenses are NOT tied to individual generating units, but to the total number of units to be included in the software.

Our pricing accounts for the greater support requirements needed for a generating fleet of 100 units versus a fleet of 10 units. We recognize, however, that the support requirements for the fleet of 100 units are not 10x greater than the fleet of 10 units. (Our experience tells us that it is approximately 3.5x greater.)

Clients who maintain their annual maintenance support plans from year-to-year receive a discount on the release of new major version upgrades. Generally, major version upgrade pricing for clients with current annual maintenance support plans is based on 45% of the full version price.

The Data Entry software and the Analysis & Reporting software licenses are priced and billed separately. Please call our sales team with your requirements for a detailed quote.

Support

Standard e-mail/telephone support and software updates are provided free of charge for a period of 1 year (12 calendar months) from the initial base purchase date. Updates include all patches and minor version releases for the year.

An annual maintenance support plan is available for purchase when the support included with the initial base purchase expires. With the annual support plan purchase, you will receive 1 year (12 months) of additional standard e-mail/telephone support and software updates.

Standard support is priced at 25% of the current full product price.

Reinstatement of Support

In the event that the annual maintenance support plan subscription lapses or was never originally procured for the software within 12 months of the initial base purchase date, a reinstatement fee shall be assessed upon the commencement of the annual maintenance support plan subscription. To reinstate the annual maintenance support plan subscription for license with metrics not currently available on the GADS NxL price list, customers must first migrate their program licenses to currently available license metrics.

The reinstatement fee is equal to 150% of the list price of the annual maintenance support plan subscription on the GADS NxL’s price list in effect at the time the annual maintenance support plan subscription is ordered, prorated from the date the annual maintenance support plan is ordered back to the date that the annual maintenance support plan subscription lapsed (or the date calculated at 12 months following the license order date, if the annual maintenance support plan subscription was never purchased). Once the reinstatement fee has been assessed, the annual maintenance support plan subscription for the year following reinstatement may be purchased at the GADS NxL’s then-current prices for support.

General Terms

All prices reflect pricing for purchases within the United States are in U.S. dollars. For licensing information, please refer to the End-User License Agreement (EULA) that accompanies the product. This agreement governs all uses. The above statements regarding features, options, pricing, terms, and conditions are subject to change without notice.

Purchase may be made with company purchase order, check, or credit card.

Our pricing model is very straightforward:  how many generating units do you collect and/or report GADS data on?

We avoid such ill-defined terms as "user," which might leave you wondering whether the managers who generate reports once a quarter, the two plant engineers who want to do a one-time special study, and the control room shift supervisors who regularly enter your GADS data are all separate users that you have to pay for. How do you legally keep track of all of these "users" so that you don't violate your license agreement?  Is there a difference between a temporary user and a full-time user?

With GADS NxL , you can install an unlimited number of copies and an unlimited number of users can access the softwareall for one price.

You will be asked to indicate the number of generating units for which you will be collecting and reporting GADS data. This may or may not include all of the generating units your company owns or jointly owns.

You pay only for the generating units that you input into the programs. If you don't collect or report GADS data on the generating unit, you don't pay for it.

For example, if you have a total of 27 generating units but you want to collect GADS data and report reliability statistics on only 23 of those units, you would pay for only 23 units, rather than 27.

Because GADS NxL Data Entry and GADS NxL Analysis & Reporting are sold separately, you can purchase one or both software packages. Prices are quoted separately for each application, as well as the total cost for purchasing both applications.
