GADS Data Reporting Instructions — Updates for 2006
Effective January 1, 2006, the following GADS Data Reporting Instruction are valid:
- Change to Maintenance Outage (MO) Definition
- New Event Types – Maintenance Outage Extension (ME), Planned Outage Extension (PE), Maintenance Derating Extension (DM), Planned Derating Extension (DP), Mothballed (MB), Inactive Reserve (IR), Retired Unit (RU)
- PJM and NERC specific – Replacing Scheduled Extension (SE) with ME & PE and Derating Extension (DE) with DM and DP
- Change to Event and Performance Record Layout – new expanded record sets
- Major Changes to Performance Reporting – including the addition of inactive hours
- Cause Codes Added – Fossil-Steam, Fluidized-Bed Fossil, Nuclear, Hydro/Pumped Storage Units, Gas Turbines, Jet Engine, Diesel Engines, Miscellaneous Units, Combined Cycle & Co-Gen Block, Geothermal, Outside Management Control
- PJM specific:
- Outside Management Control (OMC) – now being used
- XEFORD – calculated only for data submitted for 01/2006 and on
- Cause Codes Removed – Combined Cycle &
Co-Gen Block
- Electrical Cause Code Changes – All Generating Units
- Changes to GADS – outage reporting including attempted and actual starts definitions
